I’ve watched many movies but Miracle in Cell No.7 will always be the best. It has a very special place in my heart. It is a beyond satisfying family drama that will leave most of its viewers with a smile on their face & tears in their eyes.
The Korean movie revolves around a relationship between a 6-year old girl; Ye-Sung and her mentally challenged father; Yong-Goo. Yong-Goo was falsely accused and convicted of murdering and raping a 6-year old girl whose father is the chief police. He is assigned in Cell no. 7 which consists of the most hardened criminals. The miracle depicted in the title is about the meetings that happen between Yong-Goo and Ye-Seung in the jail and how it brings joy and life changes to other cellmates with lots of emotional and laughing moments.
I love this movie because it shows an unending love between a father and a daughter. From its plot, characters, acting; it is just immaculately amazing. The movie will let you laugh, cry, and realize the reality in our society. Imprisonment and sentencing death to innocent men is very common, especially those who are poor and who cannot afford are the main victims of these. As the movie ends, it opens a new aspect of life; appreciate the people you have and the people that love you, they might not be around when you need them the most - they might not be around forever.
Miracle in Cell No. 7 received an award in the 34th Blue Dragon Films as Audience Choice Award for Most Popular Movie. The movie can be found on YouTube or any other movie sites. You will not regret watching this movie. Go watch it! Enjoy laughing and crying!
